About South Carolina Registered Agent.co
South Carolina Registered Agent.co is the best and most affordable registered agent in South Carolina: $99 a year, the same at renewal.
Our registered agent service
Here is what the plan covers.
Pay one annual fee — $99 — for registered agent representation in South Carolina. The address goes on your filings, legal mail gets scanned same-day, and we remind you before state deadlines.
- A registered agent of record in South Carolina, listed on your state filing.
- We accept service of process and official state mail on your company's behalf.
- Service of process and Secretary of State mail are scanned to your online account, with an email to you.
- Up to 3 other official (legal) letters a year are scanned at no extra charge, for example letters from the IRS.
- Annual report due-date reminders by email.
How mail works here: every legal notice and South Carolina state letter is received here on your behalf, and listing our address keeps your personal one off public filings. We are a registered agent, not a shipping desk. There is no charge to scan service of process the day it lands, a flat $15 to scan any other document, and postage at cost if you want the original in hand.
Switching to us from another agent
Change of registered agent to us: $0 our fee + $10 South Carolina filing fee = $10. The registered agent service itself is $99/year.

Order HereRegistered agent service in South Carolina: $99/year. It renews automatically each year at $99 unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.
State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.
What the plan leaves out
- A virtual mailbox or mail forwarding. Everyday business mail is charged per piece to view, legal letters beyond the 3 a year are charged per piece, junk mail is discarded and packages are refused.
- Filing your annual report. That is a separate service with its own fee plus the state's fee.
- State filing fees of any kind.
- Forming the company, or any amendment or reinstatement filing.
The South Carolina requirements behind the service
Every South Carolina LLC must keep two things on file continuously: a designated office in the state and an agent for service of process. Both come from S.C. Code § 33-44-108. Skip the theory; here is what the statute actually demands and how to satisfy it in 2026.
The statute allows four kinds of agents:
- An individual who is a resident of South Carolina
- A domestic corporation
- Another limited liability company
- A foreign corporation or foreign company authorized to do business in the state

Billing, cancellation and refunds

Order HereRegistered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.
You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.
Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
