Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of southcarolinaregisteredagent.co (the "Site") and the registered agent services ("Services") offered by South Carolina Registered Agent.co ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or purchasing Services, you accept these Terms.

1. Services

South Carolina Registered Agent.co provides registered agent services in South Carolina, including:

• Maintaining a physical South Carolina street address as your registered agent address
• Accepting service of process and official documents during business hours
• Scanning and forwarding received documents to you electronically, typically the same business day
• Monitoring for and forwarding correspondence from the South Carolina Secretary of State
• Providing online portal access to stored documents

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must be at least 18, have authority to act on behalf of the business entity being registered, and provide accurate enrollment information.

3. Pricing

• Service is priced at $99 per year
• Payment is due at enrollment and at each annual renewal
• We accept credit cards and other payment methods shown at checkout
• Prices may be adjusted with 30 days advance notice before your renewal date
• Failed payments may result in service suspension after notice

4. Term and Renewal

Service begins on your enrollment date and renews annually unless cancelled. We provide advance renewal reminders.

5. Cancellation

• Cancel anytime by contacting support@southcarolinaregisteredagent.co
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term
• No partial-term refunds except at our discretion
• You must designate a new registered agent with the South Carolina Secretary of State before or upon cancellation

6. Your Obligations

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current business and contact information
• Notify us of entity name changes, dissolutions, or address updates
• Retrieve and act on forwarded documents promptly
• Maintain your entity in good standing with the state
• Designate a replacement agent if you cancel

7. Document Handling

• Documents are accepted during business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm ET)
• Scanning and forwarding occur on the same business day when possible
• We are not responsible for legal implications or deadlines of received documents
• Physical documents are retained temporarily, then securely destroyed

8. Not a Law Firm

South Carolina Registered Agent.co does not provide legal advice. We perform registered agent functions only. For legal counsel, consult a licensed attorney. We do not offer tax, formation, or compliance advice beyond document forwarding and reminders.

9. Limitation of Liability

• Total liability is capped at fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure, postal disruptions, or state processing backlogs

10. Indemnification

You indemnify South Carolina Registered Agent.co, its owners, employees, and agents against claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of Services or breach of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by South Carolina law. Disputes shall be resolved in South Carolina courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance.

13. Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the complete agreement between you and South Carolina Registered Agent.co.
